BREA Swimmers Recognized by SCS

On Sunday, May 16th, the Southern California Swimming (SCS) committee held their annual National Top 10 and Southern California Top 3 Awards Banquet.

This event honors athletes who have been ranked Nationally among the fastest ten swimmers by age and event beginning at age 11 and the Top 3 within Southern California in the 10 and under age groups.

There are over 270,000 members of USA Swimming from beginners to Olympians. These swimmers have distinguished themselves during the 2008-2009 Short Course and/or 2009 Long Course seasons by attaining a ranking as one of the fastest 10 in the country by age and by event, including relays.

These swimmers have achieved a notable and national level of accomplishment! The following swimmers were recognized at the banquet: Individual Events

Age 15 - 3 Events - 50 Y Free, 100 Y Breaststroke, 200 Y Breaststroke
Age 16 - 4 Events - 50 Y Free, 100 Y Free, 100 M Breaststroke, 200 M Breaststroke

Age 11 - 50 Y Butterfly & 100 Y Butterfly

Age 10 - 500 Y Free
Age 11 - 200 M Butterfly

Boys 11/12 400 Yard Medley Relay
