Photos of Our Swimmers
(10-08-07)
Your help in taking pictures of our swimmers at meets is greatly appreciated. Here are a few guidelines:
- Set your camera to the "Sports" setting or take pictures a 1/500 of a second. At this speed swimmer's motion is stopped and the pictures are sharp.
- Set your camera to the highest resolution. This allows good quality pictures and allows cropping of the pictures to focus on the swimmer.
- Take pictures of all swimmers, not just your child. This is key as everyone wants to see their child on the website. My rule of thumb is one picture per event per swimmer.
- Take pictures that place our swimmers and coaches in the best light possible. Remember if you wouldn't want your picture taken, then maybe you shouldn't take that picture.
- Take pictures of swimmers swimming, preparing to swim, diving in, or finishing the race. Try to take pictures of them when their head is visible and you can tell who it is.
- Take pictures of swimmers relaxing, having fun with their friends, or even acting silly. Don't forget to take pictures of families and coaches.
- Review your pictures before submitting them. I try to put the best pictures on the website. If you can help me by reviewing them first this is greatly appreciated.
- Submit your pictures by email if you only have a few, or make a CD or DVD of them and give them to Coach Conway or Krystal so that they can get them to me.
